Kann das Haus verlassenOllama behält sich vor, Angaben über die Nutzung zu erheben. Der Abschnitt über die Arbeitsweise nennt nur Programmversion und Zahl der Anfragen; der Abschnitt über die Datenerhebung nennt weit mehr, darunter IP-Adresse, Betriebssystem, Gerätename, Land und Standort, und er gilt nach eigenem Wortlaut für den ganzen Dienst. Die Aufzählung dort führt außerdem Angaben zu heruntergeladenen Modellen. Der Inhalt Ihrer Eingaben ist in keinem Fall dabei, die Tatsache der Nutzung schon, und welches Modell Sie geholt haben. Wer das nicht will, muss den Netzzugang des Programms sperren.

Zu den Suchanfragen sagt der Anbieter ausdrücklich, dass er sie nicht mit Ihnen verknüpft und keine Nutzerprofile daraus bildet. Beide Programme erheben Nutzungsdaten, nur an verschiedenen Stellen. Wer das ausschließen will, muss den Netzzugang sperren, bei beiden.

Wo sie verarbeitet werden, entscheidet der Bereitstellungstyp: bei einer regionalen Bereitstellung die von Ihnen gewählte Region, beim Typ „Global“ jede Region, in der das Modell angeboten wird. Microsoft selbst rät, mit „Global Standard“ zu beginnen; an diesem Punkt kippt die Zusage „bleibt in der EU“.

Das ist nicht dasselbe wie „niemand liest mit“: schlägt die Missbrauchserkennung an, kann eine Stichprobe Ihrer Eingaben geprüft werden, maschinell und bei Bedarf durch Menschen. Für Bereitstellungen im EWR sitzen diese Personen laut Microsoft im EWR. Wem Microsoft eine geänderte Missbrauchsprüfung bewilligt hat, bei dem entfallen Speicherung und Prüfung durch Menschen; ob das für Ihr Konto gilt, steht nicht auf der Produktseite.

Kann die EU verlassenEingaben, Antworten und hochgeladene Dateien gehen an den Anbieter. OpenAI und Microsoft nennen als Speicherort ausdrücklich auch die USA, Google Server in aller Welt. Eine Zusage, dass die Daten in der EU bleiben, steht in diesen Angaben nicht; OpenAI bietet die Speicherung in ausgewählten Ländern nur Kunden der API und von ChatGPT Enterprise und Edu an.

Verlässt das HausDer Verlauf liegt beim Anbieter. Gemini löscht ihn in der Voreinstellung nach 18 Monaten; Chats, die Menschen geprüft haben, bleiben bis zu drei Jahre, auch wenn Sie sie löschen. Selbst ein temporärer Chat bleibt bei OpenAI bis zu 30 Tage, bei Google 72 Stunden. Copilot bewahrt frühere Unterhaltungen auf; eine Frist nennt Microsoft für die aktuelle App nicht.

Google trainiert mit Ihrer Aktivität, solange deren Speicherung eingeschaltet ist, und lässt Chats auch bei abgeschalteter Speicherung von Menschen prüfen, zum Schutz vor Missbrauch. Microsoft sagt für die aktuelle Copilot-App zu, Eingaben, Antworten und Dateien nicht zum Training der Grundmodelle zu nutzen.

Je nach genutzter Funktion können sie aber zeitweise die EU verlassen, an die Orte, die Mistral in der Liste seiner Unterauftragsverarbeiter nennt. Die EU-Zusage gilt also für den Normalfall, nicht für jede Funktion.

Verlässt das HausDer Verlauf liegt bei Mistral und bleibt, bis Sie die Unterhaltung oder das Konto löschen; eine Löschung nach Frist sieht Mistral nicht vor. Auch nach dem Löschen darf Mistral Eingaben und Antworten eine Zeit lang behalten, etwa um Verstöße gegen die Nutzungsregeln zu verfolgen. Ein Betrieb ganz ohne Speicherung ist für Vibe in keinem Tarif möglich. Einen „Temporary Chat“ legt Mistral nach eigener Angabe nicht im Verlauf ab und nutzt ihn nicht zum Training; protokolliert wird, dass er stattfand.

Training mit Ihren InhaltenMit privatem Konto trainiert Mistral mit Ihren Eingaben und Antworten, auch mit hochgeladenen Dokumenten, solange Sie nicht widersprechen. Widersprechen lässt sich in den Einstellungen unter „Allow your interactions to be used to train our models“. Wer eine Antwort mit Daumen und Kommentar bewertet, gibt Eingabe und Antwort in jedem Tarif zum Training frei. Bei Enterprise ist das Training voreingestellt aus. Auffällige Inhalte erkennt Mistral maschinell; Menschen prüfen, wo das Gesetz es verlangt.
